Blood Bank Plus is designed to assist hospitals, NGOs, and healthcare organizations in managing blood donations, donors, inventory, and related records. The platform operates under a not-for-profit mission to improve transparency, efficiency, and accessibility in blood management.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of data depending on how you use our services:
a) User Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. This allows you to log in, access data, and synchronize your records securely using Firebase Authentication.
b) Donor & Patient Information
Users (like hospitals and NGOs) may store donor or patient data such as name, contact details, blood group, medical history, donation records, and Aadhaar number (optional). Aadhaar numbers are **automatically hashed and masked** for privacy. Raw Aadhaar values are never stored on the server.
c) Usage Data
We collect non-personal data such as browser type, device type, operating system, and access time to improve system performance and analytics.
d) Cookies and Local Storage
Blood Bank Plus uses browser storage (LocalStorage/IndexedDB) to enable offline usage. No personal tracking cookies are used. All stored data remains private within your browser and syncs securely when you reconnect online.
3. How We Use the Collected Data
- To allow NGOs and hospitals to manage donors, blood inventory, and requests effectively.
- To provide personalized access and cloud synchronization for registered users.
- To maintain secure login sessions and prevent unauthorized access.
- To generate anonymous statistical insights to improve platform performance.
- To communicate important updates or maintenance alerts related to Blood Bank Plus.
4. Data Storage & Security
All data is securely stored using Google Firebase Firestore with encryption both in transit and at rest. We implement strong access controls, authentication layers, and admin PIN protection. However, no online system is completely immune from cyber risks. Users are encouraged to maintain secure passwords and backups.
Blood Bank Plus also provides local data storage for offline use. Such data is stored within your browser cache and may be lost if browser data is manually cleared by the user.
5. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to any third parties. We may share data only in the following circumstances:
- When required by law, government authority, or legal process.
- With your explicit consent for specific collaborations (e.g., with verified NGOs).
- To trusted service providers such as Firebase, solely for hosting or technical operations.

We retain your account and related records as long as your account is active or as required for legitimate business and legal purposes. You may request account deletion at any time, after which all data associated with your account will be permanently removed from our servers.

- Access, review, and update your account information.
- Request correction or deletion of inaccurate or outdated records.
- Withdraw consent for data processing at any time by deleting your account.
- Export your data through the built-in backup and restore tools.
8. Aadhaar Data Handling
Aadhaar numbers are never stored in plain text. When a user enters an Aadhaar number, it is instantly converted into an encrypted hash that cannot be reversed. This ensures compliance with UIDAI guidelines and protects donor privacy. The system uses this hashed form only for duplicate checks or donor verification across records.
9. Children’s Privacy
Blood Bank Plus is intended for use by registered hospitals, NGOs, and healthcare administrators. It is not designed for direct use by children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If such data is found, it will be deleted promptly upon notification.

The platform may include links or integrations with third-party services such as Firebase, Google APIs, or verified sponsors. These services operate under their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing their policies for additional information:

Blood Bank Plus may display non-intrusive sponsorship banners or “Supported by” images (e.g., from KEO Foundation). These are static promotions and do not involve personalized or data-based advertising. No medical or personal data is shared with sponsors under any circumstance.
12. Data Backup & Export
Users can manually create backups (JSON or CSV format) via the built-in export tools in the Settings tab. These backups are stored locally by the user and are not accessible to HelpSeva or any third party.

HelpSeva reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy periodically. The revised version will be posted on the same page with an updated date. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the revised policy.
